All participant will receive a Certificate of Performance based on marks scored.
Gold with Distinction award winners will have the opportunity to perform at the Prize Winners’ Concert
#There is no minimum performance duration required for Non – Professional category, however the maximum performance duration for Senior (Non – Professional) is 10 minutes, Intermediate (Non – Professional) is 8 minutes and Junior (Non – Professional) is 6 minutes.
RULES & REGULATIONS

The Competition is open to musicians worldwide and of all nationalities.

Each competitor may take part in no more than 1 Solo Category, and 1 Ensemble Category.

Repertoire Guidelines
-
All pieces must be played from memory (except for Ensemble Professional/Non-Professional Group).

Competitors should choose a repertoire that can showcase their artistry and technical skills, the jury will also evaluate the difficulty of the repertoire.

Competitors must submit a digital copy (PDF) of their choice music to be used during the adjudication. The digital copy must be from a published hard copy. If not, a letter of consent from the composer must be provided. All PDF files must be clearly labelled with the competitor’s full name and category competing in.

Competitors must not exceed the stated time limit (according to the category applied for).

The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify any Competitor if any of the rules are not adhered to.

Chinese Percussion:
1: Chinese Big drum (including Big Barrel drum)
2: Pai Drum (combined drum including big drum or hall drum and pai drum)
3: Bangu
4: Other drums: such as Xinjiang hand drums, Korean long drum
5: Multi-percussion solo (combined solo works mainly composed of "different types" of Chinese percussion instruments, and no more than three types of "small type" foreign percussion instruments are allowed)

Notable artists and professors from Singapore, China, Hong Kong SAR, Macao SAR and Taiwan will be invited to join the adjudication panel.

Competitors are not allowed to contact adjudicators during the competition. Non-compliance will result in the competitor being removed from the Competition and forfeiting all awards and cash prizes.

The order of appearance is decided in draw sessions conducted the start of this event. The order decided at these sessions will be observed throughout the Competition. The Organiser reserves the right to make changes or cancellations to the competition order and dates, as well as any of the events that happen throughout the Competition.

The Organiser reserves the right to use all videos submitted to the Competition for use in related activities such as broadcast and promotional purposes without the consent of the participant. The Organiser retains all rights to the submitted materials.

Competitors residing in Singapore who require recording studio or assistance should contact our Event Secretariat to arrange for hiring at their own expense.

The competitor’s submission of his/her Competition application will be tantamount to the applicant’s acceptance of the Rules.

The decisions of the Organiser and judges are final and not subject to reviews or appeals.

The jury reserves the right to withhold prizes at their artistic discretion.
PRIZES & AWARDS

Adjudicators will evaluate each competitor based on a 100-point scale and the final score will be averaged, up to 2 decimal points.

All competitors will receive a Certificate of Performance based on marks scored:

Gold with Distinction 90% and above;
-
Gold 85% - 89.99%;
-
Silver 80% - 84.99%;
-
Bronze 65% - 79.99%;
-
Participation 64.99 % and below.
Gold with Distinction award winners will have the opportunity to perform at the Prize Winners’ Concert.

The Organiser reserves the right to revoke all awards and cash prizes of competitors who breach the rules and regulations of the Competition.
