Dear Friends and Supporters,

Welcome to the 3rd Nanyang International Music Competition!

Encouraged by the response and success of our inaugural competition in 2017, we continue to forge on with the same vision and purpose in our 3rd NIMC. We are heartened to see the participation for this competition have attracted aspiring musicians and professionals from different countries coming together to learn and gain valuable experience.

Despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, we continue to be inspired to create a community for budding musicians and young professionals to make music within a diverse cultural environment and to present their craft to an appreciative audience and jury.

This year, we have added in a new categories; violin and cello, to the competition to invite young violinists and cellists to showcase and breakthrough personal barriers to achieve skills that can only be accomplished by dedicated effort. In doing so, we hope that this will challenge the musicians to scale new heights in their musical performance. More importantly, we wish that this platform will encourage an exchange of ideas and support future artists in their artistic growth.

Lastly, we hope that this will be the beginning of lifelong friendships between like-minded folks.
